When trying to treat a fatty liver, the way we cook our food is just as important as the ingredients we choose. Healthy cooking methods can transform your fatty liver diet into a haven for nutritious and delicious meals. This article explores various techniques that allow you to savor the flavor mostly without the oil, ensuring that each dish supports your health and well-being. Steaming is a gentle way to cook food, preserving its nutrients and natural flavors. This method involves cooking food by surrounding it with steam, typically in a covered pot or steamer. Vegetables, fish, and even chicken retain their texture and taste, making steaming a top choice for health-conscious cooks.

Air frying has revolutionized the concept of frying, allowing you to enjoy the crispy texture of fried foods without the unhealthy oils. Using hot air circulation, air fryers create a crunchy exterior while keeping the inside tender. From vegetables to meats, air frying is a versatile method that supports a healthy diet.

Ok, so maybe I am exaggerating a bit, you do need to use some oil for the air fryer. However, the truth is that the oil you need to add to cook in the air fryer is almost 99% lower than real frying. And if you use the right oil to cook food, you won’t have to worry about a little bit. However, it is important to be mindful of the brand – I have tried and discarded some really bad air-fryers where the food came out chewy and un-cooked even after cooking for a long time, hence go for a good brand that will give you the cooking and texture you really want out of your air fryer. Air-frying is one of the quickest way to cook healthy almost oil free meals. You can enhance the flavor by adding herbs and spices.

#3. Baking: A Wholesome Tradition Of Cooking Without Oil

Baking is a time-honored cooking method that goes beyond bread and desserts. By using minimal oil, you can bake vegetables, fish, and lean meats, creating dishes that are both flavorful and healthy. Whether you’re using an outdoor grill or a stovetop version, grilling is a fantastic way to enjoy healthy and delicious meals. One of the best decisions I made early in my journey was to invest in some really good non-stick cookware. Here is a list that I use:
